Here’s a guitar piece from Bill Vencil. He’s playing a Lowden O35, tuned to CGDGAD.
Bill says, “The song developed as I created a series of improvisations around what became the opening rhythmic motif of the song. While this was going on, I kept thinking about how I am so often unwilling to be totally honest with others, God and myself. Unwilling to get to the heart of the matter, as it were. In addition, the Catholic and Anglican concept of the Sacred Heart of Jesus kept intertwining itself in the proceedings. A graphic representation of Christ’s love. The true Heart of the matter.”
